Professional Background:

Psychology has always been my passion. At age seventeen I began an internship at Life Transitions Center: Hospice Buffalo working with children and families who had recently lost a loved one. That same year I interned in the Graduate Neuropsychology Lab through The University at Buffalo (UB)/Buffalo General Hospital. From that point onward, I knew I wanted a career in mental health.

In 2007 I completed undergraduate degrees in Psychology & Anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh. While in Pittsburgh, I had the opportunity to intern at the renowned UPMC's Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, and worked as a researcher in the Infant and Toddler Peer Cooperation Center through the University of Pittsburgh.

I went on to graduate from the University of Indianapolis with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) in 2013 and obtained a non-terminal Master's along the way. While working on my degrees, I completed several year-long practicums: a university-based training clinic (community mental health), a residential facility for disabled youth, and a rural health clinic. I also gained experience in forensics completing psychological assessments for families involved with Indiana's Department of Child Services (DCS).

My Pre- and Post-doctoral training experience was primarily completed through the Reading Hospital and Medical Center (TRHMC/Tower Health) in Reading, Pennsylvania. There I had multi-program involvement, working on each of the inpatient units (child/adolescent, adult, & geriatric), and the partial hospitalization programs (adult & adolescent). I carried an outpatient caseload, and completed further training in forensics (through TRHMC & again in Indianapolis).

After completing my training, I stayed on at the Reading Hospital in their Outpatient Dual Diagnosis and DBT programs providing individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and psychological assessments for those in early recovery from substance abuse and for those experiencing chronic suicidal ideation.

After returning to Buffalo I worked in the Counseling Center at SUNY Buffalo State College and then opened my own practice in 2018.  I'm thrilled to be back in WNY ,and hope to contribute through providing high quality care to the community.
